The Pony Standard Snaffle is also a good choice for young or sensitive ponies as it provides even pressure on the tongue, allows a little tongue freedom and is particularly soft in the horse's mouth.
As the reins are taken up more, the pressure shifts to the edges of the tongue, but can be released at any time. This allows the rider to control the horse's movements at any time.
